Had a lot of fun working on this one. (Sorry it's a day late.) This page was never part of the script. Like page 2-13 , this was a last-minute change prompted by your feedback. A number of readers expressed dislike of King Max because of his controversial portrayal in Archie Sonic and they wouldn't mind seeing him killed. I realized this was a problem, because it removes tension from a scene if you don't care about a character in peril. I needed a condensed way of generating sympathy for Max, so I showed him being injured during his escape. With his wheelchair damaged and gasping for breath, he tells Alicia to save herself. I hope this resonates with critics when they see Max's true quality in the face of death. Keep those comments coming! I hope more of them help me refine the story.
