[SU #12] - After escaping capture from the Downunda Dark Egg Legion, Knuckles battled Dr. Finitevus upon the anchored Shrine Isle. Finitevus threatened to close a warp ring on Knuckles halfway through, but he was saved by Julie-Su's timely intervention.

Looks like Dr. Finitevus has run afoul of a group of Freedom Fighters. I wonder who they could be...? Seriously though, for those asking if Scourge and the Destructix would feature in the comic, here's your answer. The last time we saw them was on the "Inside Job" arc (SU #29-32). To recap, Scourge was locked up by the Zone Cops following his defeat by the Freedom Fighters. Fiona Fox and the Destructix were recruited by Dr. Finitevus to break him out of jail. They succeeded, but the end of the arc suggested that Scourge had no intention of repaying his benefactor. I could have segued into a spin-off about their encounter, but that would have only distracted from the main story. What matters is that Scourge rid himself of Finitevus to his own amusement. Exactly how they bested him is something I prefer to leave up to the readers' imagination. If anyone wants to create their own story about this conflict, I'll be the first to read it.
