A silly quickie I meant to draw ages ago after the "Waves of Change" story arc ended. (I'm overworked!) After Sonic's harrowing experience battling foes underwater, I thought he'd try to get some lessons in swimming so that he wouldn't feel so lost at sea. If there's one thing he's learning fast, it's that hedgehogs don't swim. But I really drew this as an excuse for Tails to take on the role of big brother for a change.

I don' like the fact that in recent comics and games Sonic can swim because.... He does? Every hero needs a weakness, so it was kind of disappointing to seem them just remove it. I understand you can learn to swim but you can't just simply learn not to fear something.

Hedgehogs CAN swim, they are just very vulnerable in the water. Their main enemy, foxes, push them into water and eat them through their soft belly since the hedgehog can't curl up.

Always interesting when the shoe is on the other foot and Mister Speedy Hotshot is way out of his comfort zone. Tails is just a little embarrassed at him freaking out so bad and Amy is having a well-deserved laugh. You did a good job with the reversed roles.
