Description
One of the biggest character arcs for Tails earlier in the comic series was the build-up for what his uncle Merlin predicted was his great destiny. After brief glimpses at Tails' hidden power, it finally culminated in the milestone issue #150 when all the Tails across the multiverse merged together to form... this... thing...... Titan Tails !It's easily one of the strangest creations I've seen from Archie, and Titan Tails hasn't reappeared since. Was your reaction to this monster closer to Tails' adoration or Sonic's "DO NOT WANT!" moment?

Perfer Turbo Tails. Titan Tails looks like Tails has been doing steroids and trying to cosplay the incredible hawk at the same time and the worst, he isn't cute anymore. Turbo Tails at least was cute.

I liked seeing Titan Tails in action, but... I dunno... I felt like cramming the story into a single issue was a bit of a let down for all the work that went into it. Β I always sorta hoped it'd be revisited with a kind of "Oh, yeah, Titan Tails was just your first challenge. Β We must prepare you for even more..." sensibility.

All I know is that the arc ended with another act of making the comics more like the games (that is, taking all the thousands of Chaos Emeralds in the universe and turning them into a single set of seven).
To me, the only Super form that worked for Tails is the slightly-glowing fur that came with the Super Flicky entourage.

For the record, the Titan Tails story was written by Karl Bollers.

Oops. Did not know that. (I kinda assumed it was Penders because it was in issue 150, which was when Bollers was all but gone, but then I remembered that Bollers wrote 153. And at that point I kinda slapped myself because I love that story, partially because it's got some great character moments in it, and partially because it turns all the dumb stuff Penders and Flynn did with Fiona into a string of plotholes).
I need to go over the series again and try to figure out the hallmarks of Penders and Bollers' cockups. So far, I know these:
Penders: Echidnas. Lots of echidnas.
Bollers: Mina errywhere. And Sally's probably going to be derailed.

In fairness, he stole Julie-Su, Lien-Da, Geoffrey, Hershey, and Elias, and then several hundred mostly worthless extras. Other characters like FInitevus were owned by other writers, and Archie could technically use them, but they're too scared to do so in case those other writers sue them too. Alternate versions of the SEGA originals are gone because SEGA say so.
