Note: This is not one of my satire tutorials; this is an actual tutorial.
Llama badges are still fairly new and a lot of people don't know much about them. So hopefully this tutorial will explain what they are and how to get them.
If you already know what they are, you still might find something useful in this tutorial.
Llama badge groups on DA:
<--- More llama-ness than just llama badges
<--- Not devoted only to llama badges
Also, claims to be the king of llama badges. With over 18,000 llama badges, he just might have the most on DA!

Giving someone a llama doesn't increase or decrease the number of llamas you have.

Yes, I notice that now. I initialy thought it was like a present and a Llama was deducted from your account for another. I realise that is not the case now.

Giving a llama badge doesn't mean you'll get one back in return. It's courtesy, but some people aren't interested or don't have time to give back llama badges.

So after I've given badges to all the people on my llamas page who are willing to pay for llamas, how does often is that list getting updated to show more active offers?

That's how many points you give. You should only fill out that field if you're trying to receive llama badges.

I'm not totally sure I understand how this thing is supposed to work. Whenever I enter the llama trade thing, there are never any offers... Do I need to tell people or...What?

If you use the llamatrade system, the point exchange is automatic. You don't have to do anything additional.

The llamas are just something fun to give people. They have no value other than entertainment.
Points can be used on DA to purchase prints and subscriptions, or they can be given away to other people.

That means no one is offering points for llamas at this time. It's not used as much as it was when it first came out. Just check the page every once in awhile to look for new offers. Some don't last long!

Um...I've got a small hiccup in mine. I click on the llama in my top right of the screen, then I click on the gift button on the left side in the bar bit...but the give llama option is greyed out and I can't click on it. I can click on give points, give cake, give premiere membership....but I can't give a llama...
