Obligatory bokeh wallpaper, like everyone else. Except this one has a prettier texture to it. And is prettier in general.

Inspired by the music video to the Chemical Brother's awesome song Swoon .

Purely GIMP. Basically I created a simple large circle brush with a spacing value of 1000-4000 pixels. They're varied by enabling Random Size in Brush Dynamics on the tool box. After painting random circles all over the place, I just generated a layer of plasma via Filters > Render > Clouds > Plasma. Using alpha selection of the circles layer, I cropped the plasma layer so that it was all circles. Duplicated the layer and Gaussian blurred it with a radius of 20-40 pixels and put it under the "solid" layer to give it that bloom effect. et voila!
