I can't decide which I like better the Unicorn or the white pegasus.

I'm not too big a fan of dark/evil looking characters not really my thing ya know. I was leaning more towards the Unicorn but then I looked at it again and fell right back in the middle hahaha

haha, I don't think of the Night Guard as "Dark" or evil so much as I agree with one of the fan theories that they originated from Pegasai living in mountains that didn't get much sunlight. (see Hlissners' "where the world ends" wiki.

It's more of the look than anything that turns me off I'm much more for the Paladin-ish look of the white pegasus and the kinda warmage-ish unicorn.

The only thing missing is an earth pony. I think you could have just removed the wings for the one in the middle, that looks like a viable fighting stance for an Earth guard. Celestia may wants to give as much equal oppurtunity as possible to her little ponies, but it doesn't help that she doesn't seem to have faith in Earth ponies to defend her city. Overall it just doesn't help combat the idea that Earth ponies got the short end of the gene pool.
I notice that you gave the unicorn the grey armor we see on the unicorn guarding the library in Ponyville. But where does the green scarf from? Is this meant to go along with a fanfic or comic?
