Description
Yes, I know I'm very very behind in my messages, if you're wondering why, check out my latest journal, but I will be trying to catch up on at least the deviations in my box this weekend. In the meantime, my friend is very involved with a theater group that is putting on a production of The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams. Theater has always been a huge part of my life, so I had told her, if they ever needed artwork for something, to let me know and I'd do it for free if I knew enough in advance. Well, she called in the card this time and asked for something they could put on their 4"x6" postcard mailers. If you know the play, you might get the iconography, but the director specifically wanted blue roses (Jim's name for Laura) and I specifically wanted them to be still practically buds, but already starting to wilt. Hopefully, the director's ok with that

Aww, these are beautiful roses, wish they actually exist...such a shame that blue is a recessive colour or something...

All that's left to add in order to completely represent Laura completely is something to contain them. Good work.

I like this. It makes me think of a Sailor Moon picture that features Princess Mercury holding a blue rose.

Great job!
I was wondering if I could use this design for my school's Shakespeare play shirts. If you don't want to I understand.

If you think it will suit the show, I suppose that would be alright. Permission granted to you and you only for this one specific instance.

Very beautiful and subtle. You really did a good job with the petals, they make me think of soft clouds.

I read that in my freshman script analysis class...such a sad story. Poor kid, they broke her unicorn. Beautiful sad image when you understand what stems from.
