Description
First off, my appologies, I really did not mean to submit again so soon, but I got the urge to try attacking Illustrator again and, well, you know how it goes. For those of you getting yet another deviation in your box, my appologies, I really don't do this that oftenThis one was inspired entirely by . She mentioned recently that red was her favorite color and it got the wheels turning in my head. I started thinking about what would happen if I did a piece based entirely around a single color scheme. Evidently, this is what happens
For those of you familiar with Tex Avery, the name of the club was not intended as a reference to him, it just seemed like a cool name for a club keeping with the red theme.

Lovely! Red is one of my in-a-three-way-tie-for-second favorite colors.
Blue is first. Some kind of jazz house might work for blue.

Already got the design for blue, though I haven't had time to start on the finished piece yet. I do already have the title, however, Blue as Can Be

Very cute. Y'know, the theme and coloring being as intense as it is, it could have fit in well with February on your calandar, too.

I do like how the color is just shifted outside of the outlines for the backdrop. This is splendid.

I can't get enough of her dress and the whole theme of red all-over. Red's always been such a wonderful colour that can express several feelings and emotions. I love this. :3

cool nice work... and no more "this isnt vector" disclamer! how come you did the text in pshop instead of illustrator? i like illustrator better for text cause when you make outlines, you are free to mess with the text like transforms and stuff.

GoblinQueeen In reply to sargeras [2005-02-24 04:22:35 +0000 UTC]
Because I'm still learning and didn't want to hastle with bringing the background and figure over to Photoshop seperately and I needed to do the brushwork over the awning before I put on the text.

Hmm, what's the brushstroke effect? Do you mean the wonky outlines?
Wonderful job, as always. Love the style, and isn't Tex Avery that cartoon or something? Can't quite remember, but there's this "Wacky World of Tex Avery" theme song in my mind.
