Always thought the drive section resembled a cobra ready to strike. Always wish they couold have used that more often, seems there could have been a lot of times when the Enterprise-D had to be in two places at once. Although the saucer was probably slower without the warp drive section, it still had the captain's gig, which was warp-equipped.

I did it as a size comparison reference. There's also, as in most of my starship drawings, a couple of crew members here and there, also up to scale,to give an idea of the massive proportions of these vessels. Thank you for visiting.
