In the later and ending months of the Confederate-Pact war, one last push was made into the Pact held agricultural center of Eberus. Having failed two other invasions prior the confederacy made one last attempt to take it, to cripple the food imports from other pact nations surrounding Eberus and force a starvation surrender. The invasion saw large successes and the confederates came close to taking the capital before a ceasefire was called and eventually a peace accord was signed.
This left essentially everyone on all sides unhappy, especially the soldiers who fought on eberus, having given blood, sweat, and lives in the conflict for nothing.
