Description
!And here's Eli's formal wear meme. In case you forgot what her dress looks like.
Yeah, things!
Because of time issues, I was originally only going to do a few illustrations about the ball, but I really wanted to draw a bit of comic too, so here's like... A prologue to going to the ball?
Comics are always better at showing character interaction, and I want to introduce these characters to everyone - as well as getting to know them better myself, of course.
The interior backgrounds are vague because I wasn't sure if this place should be Eli's parents home or wherever she's at around Drachenstein castle.
We should get to see what happens at the ball pretty soon!
Part one is this one!
Part two is this way!
These characters are mine!
And PokΓ©mon belongs to Nintendo.

Sorry sir, that's a woman with a masculine face.
But the point of this character was that she's a girl who people would confuse for a boy, so I must've succeeded.
Thanks. 8D

Oh, I understood that you were trying to make her look masculine, but my point was that She needs a bit of work. There is a fine and tricky line about making a character who's gender is hard to identify, yet still making sure that the audience clearly understands the character's gender. I suppose this is a bit of a critique but you need to work on how the girl is drawn, she looks too masculine to be a female. The dialogue made things clear and the rest of what was drawn is nice. I made this comment to complement you and because I thought you might appreciate a little constructive criticism regarding your important main character.

I do appreciate constructive critisism, of course!
What kind of things would make her face more feminine, then? I do understand she looks really masculine, the problem just is that I really like her face.

Her jawline is her greatest masculine feature; I think it may be too masculine. It might help if her eye lashes were elongated or strengthened just a bit. Her face and jaw are really good in the twelfth panel. She appears 100% masculine in the second, eighth, eleventh, and sixteenth panel; primarily in "head on"/forward views.

I see.
Considering this comic is about a year old now, her looks have evolved as I've been drawing her. If you want to check if it's for better or worse, you can check my newest 6XL entries.

Thanks! 83
Well, she can't. 8''''D She'd usually examine things by biting them but she doesn't want to bite Eli's dress.

I should be able to finish the second part soon too... That'll be "just" illustrations, but there'll be something you'd like to see there.

Wow you really put a lot of effort into this!! It looks really nice, and you can feel the pokemons personality.
And we just imagine that Druddigons can fly.

Eee, you think so? ;w; I was afraid this would look all rushed!
Well Flygon can't learn Fly in the games either [as much as I know?] but it has the ability Levitate so I imagine they can fly too. And if Garchomp can fly/glide too... Well, Druddigon have wings at least. 8'''''D

TeacupVillain In reply to Gomis [2012-07-16 15:28:57 +0000 UTC]
Yes it can sorry.
And Druddigon's wings are rudimentary and only there go take in sunlight.

Hmmm, I remembered incorrectly. B< Oh well, I haven't trained a Flygon in a game for a couple of years.
Well... Nobody said this flight would be easy. |D

It could just be hovering down the cliff, drakenstein is after all high up.

But there's still more way to go to Lochesh than just hovering down the mountain, right?
Oh well, maybe they'll just walk back from there after they realise how hard it is to get there by flying on your surprisingly short Druddigon?

TeacupVillain In reply to Gomis [2012-07-16 15:41:38 +0000 UTC]
She could just use it as a riding animal. Also if I remember right Druddigon can learn rock climb so you're able to get back again.

Gomis In reply to TeacupVillain [2012-07-16 15:43:41 +0000 UTC]
I guess riding could still go under walking as... The riding animal walks? 8D
Anyway, I've already drawn a picture of them at least attempting flight, but maybe after realising how hard it was they walked/Eli rode Nova there and back.
....After they fell from the sky or something.
