I'm not really use to BW landscape... even more BW sunsetI'm not sure of the result, tell me what you think...

Awesome! And I love La Jolla Cove! Makes me wish I were home again...as San Diego!.. anyhow, besides my own personal feelings, the BW works great. I love what it does to bring out the texture of everything.

Je trouve que ça rend super bien. Le seul truc qui me gène un peu c'est l'utilisation d'un format portrait pour un landscape. Avec un rendu pareil j'essayerai de faire péter le grand angle et j'utiliserai un format paysage pour bien faire passer la sensation de grand espace.

je vois bien ton point de vue...
j'ai souvent tendance a faire les paysages en portrait, je ne sais pas trop pourquoi
ici, c'est un peu la faille qui a dirige mon choix. j'etais deja en grand angle, les exifs (qui indiquent 38 mm) sont fausses, il faut que les vire (j'ai empile 4 versions du shot ds un .psd pour choisir la meilleur, je fais souvent ca au lieu d'avoir plusieurs fenetres , et du coup les exifs ne correspondent pas a ce shot.)
en format paysage, pas moyen de cadrer la faille et le ciel a cette distance, et en reculant la faille semblait un peu perdu ds l'horizontal.

Beautiful result! What does the ND filter do? Is is acting like glasses in this matter? I really like the lighting! I never seen la jolla like this, great!

the ND allowed me to do a long exposure and have the motion blur on the water
btw, did you seen the sunset at SD today ? I saw it from a not very good location but it was "The Sunset of the year", there was 5min of magic with the sky going on fire and dramatic clouds, the best sunset that I saw in one and a half year !!! I'm really pissed off to not have been in a good place for that, there was some fantastic shot to do... too bad

Wow i have to get me one of those filters. i love that shot.
I saw that sunset it was great. I was actually leaving my photography class with my camera. i got some shots but i forgot i had it on manual focus and when i uploaded them they all a little blurry anyway it was in a parking lot. not really a nice place to shoot haha. But its twas beautiful. heres a shot i got.

I also had a setting issue when I took a "snapshot" of this sunset : i forgot that my camera was set on 800 iso, so mine is not blurry but noisy
