A Pzkpfw-IV Ausf-B from the 1st Panzer Division, 1st Panzer Brigade, 1st Panzer Regiment during the invasion of Poland, August 1939. Markings consist of solid white balkankreuz on either side of the turret, a small balkankreuz on the turret rear, a white tactical number ‘802’ stenciled on the turret sides and rear, and a pair of white stripes across the back of the commander’s cupola. These stripes were an indicator that the vehicle belongs to the company commander. These stripes were rare and only found on command panzers of the 1st Panzer Regiment during the Polish Campaign.
