Description
A Panzer-IV/70(V) captured by Canadian trooops at the end of the war. This is an example of the final version of the Panzer-IV/70(V) design with deleted air intakes on the transmission access housing and a light-weight gun mantlet. The vehicle has a camouflage pattern commonly found on late war Jagdpanzers, with large hard-edged irregular shaped patches of green (RAL7008) and red brown (RAL8017) painted over a base coat of dark yellow (RAL7028). Unlike the rest of the vehicle, the gun barrel has been painted early war dark grey (RAL7021). The markings consist of large tactical numbers in red, with white outlines and, in an unusual manner, the vehicle has two balkankreuz stenciled on each side of the superstructure.
