2022 update: art redo and added more info to the sheet itself. Note! There's some minor spoilers in the details.
Zakieus Schröder is one of the main characters of my comic Un-Phased .
Basics:
- His full name is Zakieus Herman Schröder (Spelled Schroeder without the umlaut.)
- A nickname for him would be Zak, but he prefers Zakieus.
- He's the taller, nerdier, and very slightly younger twin brother of Aradite Schröder
- He's 18 years old and 6'1" (185 cm)
- The man is not a fighter, but has an ice staff powered by the moon! Not that it helps his fighting abilities, of course.
If given an option, Zakieus would choose reading a book no matter what. The man likes his me time. Though just because he doesn't prefer being around people doesn't mean he won't talk his head off if given a chance, especially when discussing his interests. Zak is pretty vocal about his thought and opinions, especially negative ones, though he is quick to shut up if he thinks an actual fight is going to start. Mostly though, he likes presenting himself as an authority, and he gets visibly frustrated when he isn't treated as such.
The story so far:
"I- I don't know. I studied magic for three long years before finally going to school for it and becoming one of Professor Lawrence's stop students. That professor then entrusts me with two of the most powerful artifacts in Taira with the expectation that I'll deliver them as soon as possible to Naydessa, and here I am working menial labor to pay off a debt because I accidentally broke some stupid trinket. I don't have time for this.
"Look, I know Rowan let us off easy, and yes I am glad I'm not sitting in a cell for accidental vandalism, but would it kill him to move a bit faster? The longer we spend selling random goods, the more likely it is we'll be found. I don't know who wants these pendants or what they will do once they find them, and I'm honestly just fine never finding out. But no, we can't go to Naydessa first, that's too easy. Lord, I just want to go back to my studies. "
Other information:
- Cannot hide his emotions to save his life, and they'll change on a dime.
- He was raised bilingual with Aisilish from her mom's side and Carnalian from her dads side, and learned a dead language in his studies(Aisilish and Carnalian are interpreted in the comic as English and German respectively)
- The books he most often reads are not for study, but novels. He will not disclose the subject of his novels though.

(I have thought the same thing before X'D I know other languages have them, but every time I see them I think it's German X'D Unless the letter with an umlaut is an "e" or "i" since German doesn't have those)

(That makes sense, though I also don't know the other languages that use them at all, so I'm not the best judge X'D But that's a good indicator then, if they're there, it's not German X'D )

(I know in Scandinavia they use them, Turkey as well. But they don't use all of them, in Turkey they don't have an ä and in Sweden they don't use ü, if I'm not mistaken xD)

Oh absolutely! He'd love to find someone else who loves reading as much as him! He needs someone in his life that he can discuss the stories he reads. Right now he can only talk to Ari about it, and she's much less interested in it.
But yes! Ice magic! He's still very new with it, so he's trying to figure it out, but he'd love to talk to her about what he knows! Anyone to discuss magic with would be great!

Awh yes!! Zak would love to share some books with her, though he'd probably want them back at some point. They're kinda his treasure, haha!
Oh yeah, the magic in both worlds is most likely different, but that would be an even more interesting discussion! The ice magic that Zak possesses is one of a kind actually! The most others can do is cool down objects and the air. Seeing that Faith can do the same thing he can would be so surprising to him.
Omg, Zak isn't into nicknames much at all, but being called the Smart One would definitely flatter him, haha!

Ehehe! That's a good moral to have! It's something she and Echaro share for sure! Oh but Zak would absolutely love to read her books! Especially the rarer ones! Any knowledge he can get his hands on is good knowledge, and he'd love to know about it!
Those are definitely good uses for her ice magic! Zak's still figuring out what he can do with his staff. Mostly he knows how to form pillars of ice, and he's still figuring out how to control it. (Here's some sketches I did that showcases what he knows of his staff powers if you're interested.) But, he definitely understands that! Ari's fire powers already freak Zak out and she uses it a lot. Being cold is fine, but burning will always be a fear of his. He and Faith could watch Aris magic from a distance I bet
Oh, he'd be absolutely fine with those, especially Teacher, it'd make him feel so smart!

Omg, that'd be so flattering for him, haha! He gets frustrated that all he can do is icicles at the moment, but they can be helpful at times!
Ari would definitely respect that. She likes using her normal sword for most things anyway as she's much more skilled with a one-handed sword rather than the zweihander that grants her ice powers. But she'd be happy to teach Faith all she can! Can't promise it'll work the best though, as she hasn't studied a lick of magic like her brother has, so healing salve is probably smart.
I know!! I love character interactions so much, especially with other people's characters! It's so much fun and I love the alternate universe we're coming up with!

Oh that sounds wonderful for him! Especially the food storage one, I can see tons of uses for that! And that's true too! Especially for defense, but I hadn't thought about the foot/handholds! I may definitely have to steal that for my story at some point!
No worries at all! While Ari may have troubles putting out fires, she can definitely contain them while Zak puts them out. Plus Rowan would be on hand for any healing that's necessary. And Val... well he'll be moral support despite his anti magic stance XD
Awh! It's so much fun! Interactions are really the best part of storytelling and it's actually helping me get to know my characters better seeing how they'd react to Faith and her antics! But awh! what an adorable image, I love it!!

Ah! Of course! It's the same thing I do with my offline friends too! People have the greatest ideas for my characters, and I tend to take them from my conversations if I can, and I'm forever grateful for it! Oh yeah! Especially with their adventures, it's super helpful!
