Lady Midday - also known as Poludnitsa, Noon Demon or Noonwraith. An exceptionally vile and murderous demon that roamed the fields. Born of spirits of women who died right before or right after her own wedding. Her appearance was that of a skinny, bony woman wrapped in white cloth, her skin dark and dry. Alternatively, she was somtimes descibed as a whirlwind. She roamed the fields around the noon and cursed men working on them with headaches, syncope or even death. She also kidnapped and ate children left without parental protection. When she was not hungry, she buried them alive under the boundaries of fields.

Południca – zwana również przypołudnicą, żytnią lub rżaną babą. Była wyjątkowo złośliwym i morderczym polnym demonem. Los południcy mógł przypaść kobiecie, która zmarła tuż przed własnym ślubem lub chwilę po nim. Ukazywała się jako owinięta w białą płachtę kobieta o chudej kościstej sylwetce i śniadej, wysuszonej skórze, bądź jako wir powietrzny. Jeśli w okolicach południa natknęła się na człowieka pracującego w polu zsyłała na niego bóle głowy, omdlenia, a nawet śmierć. Pozostawione bez opieki dzieci porywała i pożerała, bądź zakopywała żywcem pod miedzą.
