Description Some versions of photoshop may say "Save for the web" When you are saving it. Depending on what version you have.

Since I have made the stamps and avatars alot of people have been asking me how I made them and asking for a tutorial so Here it is!!

This was made in photoshop CS3 Extended so some things may be different to you depending on what version you are using.

If you have any questions feel free to ask no need to credit me for this

I hope it helps!

Thank you so much for making this Oddly enough, I have a question..

When I was working on a test animation in photoshop, it worked out perfectly when I hit play, and I even saved it as a web device and as a .gif

However, when I tried to upload it to dA, it wouldn't work- and when I click on it in the saved folder, it still won't play

I have windows vista home premium, and even prior to this it never let me save images that are moving. It would just save one of the frames. (Though the test I did looks like a blank square instead of the animation..)

Keep in mind, it worked perfectly in CS3, so I don't know what's wrong with it :'D If you or anyone you know can help me out, please let me know asap <3

thank you so much for the explenation!

I knew I could make animations with photoshop, but since I didnt knew where the keys were, I had to use an other crappy program instead... this makes making stamps and animations so much better!

thank you

Gah, I'm not sure what's wrong. When I click "Window," I don't get an Animation option. Is there another way to open it??

i now have cs4 also and its there. go to "file" and below "save as" is "check in" and then "save for web & devices" choose save for web & devices.

yeah you will learn.. its kinda tricky at first getting all the same slides in one frame but you will catch on. now you know how its easy to just make some silly ones for fun and learning. once i learned i did a lot of stamps to get the hang of it and because of those stamps i started getting a demand for them there-fore causing me to create the tutorial. I am glad i did or else the constant demand of stamps would never stop haha the good thing about stamps is its very similar to flash icons and videos just more or less frames very versatile and a nice trick. there are better programs out there for that kind of stuff but being the ps junkie i am this worked out fine for me. maybe some day i will get a better program for flash and put up a tut for making something real fancy and complicated haha well good luck and keep trying practice makes perfect

great tutorial by the way but I can't see to save it right. I saved it as a gif but then I go to open it but I wont flash, it just a still image, what do I do?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

gothfiend In reply to vixen225 [2008-05-27 03:03:56 +0000 UTC]

you dont go to save as you have to go down further to save for web and mobile devices or just save for web on some versions

I worked all day and I couldint make it! Do I make new images or new frames. and whatever one i need, how do i add them to the animation because you tutorial doesnt say to click and drag or double click and i couldnt figure it out. I'm sorry to be a problem.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

gothfiend In reply to chickenandliver [2008-03-29 01:27:33 +0000 UTC]

aww im sorry... ok you have to have all different layers for each slide.. and when you get the layers ready you open the animation window and in the top right corner of that window is a little button.. click that and it will say copy frams.. then you click paste frames this copies your layers and makes a frame for the slide.. you have to do this for as many frames as you will be needing... after you get them all in there you have to click on the first frame and see what is showing.. most likely all your images will be showing so then you have to hide the ones you dont want to show for each frame... so each frame will have a different layer to it.. let me know if you have more ?'s im happy to answer them.. Im on a computer with no photoshop or any editing program so i cant take any screan shots but if you still need help i can go to another computer And your no problem at all
