OMFG YAY I AM SO PROUD OF MYSELF RIGHT NOW. :B
Started this halfway throughout the week while watching "The X Files" at about midnight. :F I was meant to be doing homework, but, you know how it is...anyway that show is awesome I spent the next five days going over the lines and colouring it.

Tools-
-20 different coloured pencils
-Fineliner
-Two different sketching pencils
-1 gel pen
-Eraser :F

The Technical Stuff
-Scanned. Luckily it fit into the scanner, I thought it wouldn't and started having kittens :F
-Changed contrast etc in Corel
-Erased all the white (that took FOREVER.)
-Generated some 'cloud' in GIMP. Added Turbulation, slightly colourized blue. Copypasta into Corel and used for background.
-Created a layer of black, lowered opacity and erased some areas as highlights.
-Generated some more cloud, pasted into Corel, erased most of it to make the alien look like it was emerging from the fog. Softened focus.
-Saved, opened in GIMP. Added watermark.

I was surprised at my colouring skills, I managed to make her look kind of rubbery and had colours reflecting onto other surfaces, but its much more obvious on the raw image. Mum and Dad where like "Its got boobs!", I was like "Yeah...." >.>

Now to go onto the 4 billion other things I should be doing 8D
