For the 100 themes challenge. I'm using variation 1. [link] This is theme 5, Seeking Solace.

Wounded and weary, Sienna finds the most welcoming surface to be the cold, clean snow. The forests between the mountains are burning, their choking, dark smoke filling the air. The Astral Snow Leopard is far from home but is simply too tired to fly any farther.

She will be all right, though. It has been a particularly bad day, but now that she is resting her wound will be able to close and she will heal. It will not be too long before she can fly home.
