ATTENTION ARTISTS

Copyright law is about to change

For more than a year Congress has been holding hearings for the drafting of a brand new US Copyright Act. At its heart is the return of Orphan Works

What does this mean for artists? it means it will make it easier for infringers to steal artists works and harder for people who are making or trying to make a living out of art more difficult. This will effect every artist and all the artwork they have created, are creating, and will be created. Corporates, Big businesses, and publishers want this to pass to make money out off artists works without paying us artists for past, current, and future artwork.

Basic Facts About The Law Being Proposed

- β€œThe Next Great Copyright Act” would replace all existing copyright law.

- It would void our Constitutional right to the exclusive control of our work.

- It would β€œprivilege” the public’s right to use our work.

- It would β€œpressure” you to register your work with commercial registries.

- It would β€œorphan” unregistered work.

- It would make orphaned work available for commercial infringement by β€œgood faith” infringers.

- It would allow others to alter your work and copyright these β€œderivative works” in their own names.

- It would affect all visual art: drawings, paintings, sketches, photos, etc.; past, present and future; published and unpublished; domestic and foreign.

** Ways to stop this or preventing these changes from happening**

> > > > > > > DEADLINE IS NEXT THURSDAY: JULY 23, 2015 < < < < < <

- share, this post, spread it for other artists to take notice and action.

- You can submit a letter on how this law can be an issue for you as an artist here: copyright.gov/policy/visualwor…

- Non-U.S. artists can email their letters to the attention of:

So this is your own art; it seems official art to me.
For those who don't know, Exar Kun was a master duellist in his time; he was a master of Form VI: Niman, the jack-of-all-trades style that emphasized moderation. Usually, a Niman practitioner is just competent, with rather relaxed bladework and unable to be a powerful duellist, but if someone really trains hard and is really a skilled swordsman, like Kun, then you are a master of everything; fast, strong, agile and precise all in one. However, Kun completely ignored all of Niman's ideals of moderation and instead fought with a Juyo-like fury.
I must say that he is one cool and powerful Sith Lord; he'd give Vader a run for his money.

Exar Kun was one of the most powerful Sith Lords of All-Time! He'd have killed Vader at least 100 times before he hit the floor.

Pre-Mustafar Vader? Maybe... they'd be equals then. But after Mustafar? No chance.

I can only think of Maybe 4 or five Sith in total who could hold a candle to Kun.

Ulic Qel-Droma, Palpatine aka Darth Sidious, Pre-Mustafar Vader, and Revan.

They're the only ones who'd have a chance against Exar Kun.

Awesome Job BTW

Well, in terms of lightsaber combat, I think post-MustafarΒ Vader and Kun are equals, but in terms of Force abilities, Kun has the edge, as he can do things Vader cannot hope to properly protect himself against.

GunMasterG3 In reply to TCH2 [2013-07-19 14:29:14 +0000 UTC]

Lightsaber Wise, they were always equals... Djem So, the VERY aggressive style Anakin/Vader practiced, wasn't around when Kun was alive, so he might be unprepared for it.

Plus, Anakin was the Revan of his era, the most powerful force user, and had great mentors (Mace Windu, Obi-Wan, etc.)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TCH2 In reply to GunMasterG3 [2013-07-19 14:36:42 +0000 UTC]

Actually, Djem So was around; it is Form V lightsaber combat. Kun's style, Niman, is Form VI, so he would be prepared.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

GunMasterG3 In reply to TCH2 [2013-07-19 16:05:04 +0000 UTC]

Well, then I guess it would come down to who's the better dualist overall, and quicker on their feet.

Vader/Anakin was able to defeat people with both far more aggressive styles, and Moderate styles as well.Β

Meanwhile, Kun was able to do similar things with almost anyone he came across, but one man, Ulic Qel-Droma, was able to hold his own against Kun.

Anakin and Droma in my mind are pretty comparable.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TCH2 In reply to GunMasterG3 [2013-07-19 16:45:13 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, Vader has successfully fought and defeated more agile opponents on several occasions. Kun has never lost a lightsaber duel, but I think he just wasn't around long enough to encounter a truly worthy opponent; whereas Vader has. That is why I see them as equally skilled in lightsaber combat.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

GunMasterG3 In reply to TCH2 [2013-07-21 23:57:54 +0000 UTC]

True enough, as I said, not even the Order's best swordsman could hold a candle to Kun at that time, but during Anakin's era, he wasn't even the best, not even close.

1. Yoda

2. Mace Windu

3. Anakin Skywalker/Obi-Wan Kenobi (Tie)

But like Mace, Anakin was extremely skilled in Djem So, Shien, and Jar-Kai, the most aggressive and agile styles respectively. Shien and Jar-Kai is what he taught to his two apprentices, Ahsoka Tano and Galen Marek aka Starkiller.

As I've said before, Kun did have one equal, fellow ex-Jedi and equal Ulic Qel-Droma, who if I remember correctly, Djem So was his main form. Ulic was planning on stabbing Kun in the back, and after Kun taught him, he very well could've beaten him this time.

Would've been an interesting duel, Vader vs. Kun, or Anakin vs Qel-Droma for that matter.

The Greatest Badass in Star Wars HISTORY!

Whenever some little Jedi loving dweeb starts dissin the Dark Side, all you have to say is "Exar Kun."

And they are own'd. End of conversation.

He raped the ENTIRE* High Council at the same time; they frogged, and got worked. Fail.

And the 2-3 cowards who managed to run away, ran back to the Republic Fleet in orbit....and ordered them to decimate the planet. HOW. FUCKING. SAD. You had to rape an ENTIRE* FUCKING* PLANET*........ to kill ONE* guy. WOW!
