For Lionceros contest

I found this contest today and immediately got to work because it's such a good opportunity to test my designing skills. I love drawing big, poofy manes so this was a treat; I rarely add beards and I never gave a mustache to any of my lions, so I was happy to experiment with that.
Since there weren't many restrictions, and more just guidelines it really helped me get creative.
What I incorporated:

- The generic facial features and sturdiness that seems to be prevalent in the red empire.
- His chin is a lighter shade of the underbelly like I've seen many lions in the family tree have.
- The nose is a mix of his parents, and the spots are from his dad (tough, they're lighter instead of darker)
- He has spots on his muzzle from his mom, and some of them bleed trough in the moustache.
- Took the black of his father's beard and translated it to the mane, the lighter streaks are both from his mom, and from some of his ancestors.
- Noticed many in the red empire have more orange-red scleras, so I used that, same for the green eyes, I took a shade that was in between his parents, and it ended up a lime green that I also saw in the family tree here and there.
- With the overall shape of the mane I took some liberty, I just gave a general glance to what seemed to be the norm in his family and put my own twist on it.
- Markings around the eyes and the ear rims are also a combination of his ancestors.

Overall a very fun design to work on. The name is a suggestion, I just ran a few names in a translator that had to do with either blood or fire, and this one felt like it had a nice ring to it.
