FinALLY I finished the ref I wanted to make for Rover.
He’s my big shiny charizard, I made him an XL sized ‘mon too. Took this opportunity to also design the flying gear/saddle he uses, his collars and his pokeball (a master ball).
I tried to make him as gruff and gritty as possible, after all he’s a veteran, lv100 ‘mon that had to also deal with poachers (outside of game headcanon). The scars are mostly from the chains/restraints said poachers used.
As you may notice from the first picture, we started off really well... He was brought to the Aether paradise after being rescued in Sinnoh (where the poachers caught him) and he was still very angry and distrusting of humans. In the first meeting with Ringo (the zigzagoon) the dumbass of a trainer was still recovering from the accident (which happened a few months before BW2 happens, notably the trainer still didn’t have a personalized uniform... the accident is actually the reason it was made).
The Megastone collar is a purchase made much later (around the same time the gen 7 story takes place), while the normal collar was bought shortly after the accident.
Not much to say about the flying equipement, it’s based a bit on the one in Sun&Moon, but more oriented to acrobatic flight.
