Decided to do their references up next, including their big goofy cousin. If you're seeing this first and are confused this piece right here has the story for the 3 siblings.

- Nguvu is an absolute unit of a lion, when he was born everyone was shocked, especially his parents, considering their first child was scrawnier than Nuka. At first they tought he'd just be slightly bigger than average, like Tiifu and her mother Boga, but oh no no, Nguvu inherited giantism from his great-grandpa, Jabali, and it became more and more obvious as he grew older. Hyronically he's one of the younger cubs of his generation, and never lost his cub leg spots either, so he's just one big baby. He oves hanging out with his "big bro" Nyota... even tho Nguvu ends up outgrowing him when he's barely starting to grow in his mane.
Ok, I couldn't leave this big boy out when I decided to draw the other 3, he didn't change much from his initial concept, I changed the name and gave him spots on his legs and that's it, the mane is greatly inspired by Jabali's, but with Nuka's scruffiness. As I already mentioned, I wanted to have a "big healty Nuka" without butchering the actual character... aaad wanted another character with giantism, especially since by the time he's born, Jabali was long dead. I also tought that it'd be funny to have Nuka n Tiifu hit the worst odds gene-wise with their first child... and then hit the exact opposite with their next, they can't seem to be able to get a normal child lmao. I'm not gonna spoil how Nuka get back into the picture for now, but yeah, at this point it's pretty obvious he's alive in my HC, so there's no point hiding it lmao.

- Baraka is the oldest of the trio, she was named by Wavivu, a blessing coming from an unexpected place. She's the most outgoing of the three, always up to play chase and get herself covered in mud, she was always darting around, dragging the other cubs into trouble. As an adult she's one of the best hunters of the pride, taking after her mother's lessons quite well, she's not good at planning, but when she locks her jaw on a prey, it's game over. Personality-wise she's the one that probably takes the least from Vitani, in fact if it wasn't for her blue eyes one could swear she was Kiara's.
Design wise she's the one who's a straight-up blend of Kovu and Vitani, just a tad fluffier, I also gave her Kosa's nose (Kovu's dad); quite frankly I don't have much to say about her she's pretty straight-forward as a character... oh and just like Kiara she has the biggest straight girl energy, don't ask where it comes from, I couldn't tell you... maybe from Sarafina's mom? It skipped her, Vitani and Nala and went all to Kiara and Baraka.

- Matakawa is the middle child, she was named by Fahari, a wish for things to get better. She's the one that looks like Kovu the least, at the same time tough, she's the one that got most of Zira's and Scar's personality; she didn't get any actual mental disorders, but she is a bit of a loner with a very sharp mind and a silver tongue (I HC both Zira and Scar as being psychopaths, not in the same ways, but both are and they get worse as their life deranges; they were always some degree of bad and bratty tho, even as cubs). She's also got some pretty terrible luck, always getting some degree of hurt during the adventures her sister and the other cubs dragged her into; after she ends up getting her tail amputated in a pretty serious accident, Matakawa calls it quits on the adventures and starts staying home with her more calm cousins (Nyota and Almasi more specifically). She loves to spend time with her great-grandmother Fahari, hearing her stories and life lessons, eventually she starts training to be a royal advisor and when it becomes clear she's better at planning hunts than actually partaking in them. She stays as out of the way as possible when hunting and only comes in to deliver the final blows; she may not be the muscle, but her help becomes essential anytime brainpower is needed.
Behold, the annoyed grumpy sibling! I based her mostly on cub Vitani in the outland sunset scene, genetic-wise she gets her coat saturation from scar, even tho it's not nearly as dark as his. She's the only one that could be a rogue's, if it wasn't for the cheek fluff, that she gets from Kosa, and Nukato also has once he grows up, so in the end the fact that Kovu's her dad becomes more apparent to a degree. I lopped off her tail on a whim, another thing that she gets from her grandpa, his bad luck. Her name is obviously inspired by Taka, oh the irony.

- Kisasian is the last born, he was named by Vitani, a act of revenge/rebellion against Zira, these cubs would grow up without her hate ingrained in their heads. He's a bit of a shy kid, being the runt of the litter he's always falling a bit behind and losing in play-fight, Nyota being the only one he can win against; he got sick often in his early years, but got better as he aged. As an adult Kisasian is never on patrol alone, and often tags along other males, just to be safe. Like his sister he's better at talking than fighting, he's not as witty as her, but he's very good at deescalating situations before they turn into fights.
This one was just a "Scar and Zira perfect lovechild" without actually being their child, I even used the name from that one fanfiction cuz I've been waiting for an opportunity to use it. Genetic wise he also get's Kovu's mane tuft, Vitani's pelt and Sarafina's eyes, he's a good blend, I like him

Bonus round: what would Zira think of these 4 if she came back alive?
Nguvu: He's everything she's always wanted Nuka to be, big and strong, a dark mane; sure he's a bit naive and gentle, but nothing that can't be fixed right? Basically the perfect king (she's righ, Nguvu would be a really good king (with a good advisor by his side), just not in the way she thinks).
Baraka: Zira really likes her at first glance, even tough she looks a bit too much like Kovu (she's still bitter about his betrayal), the girl seems really promising and like she could become a great fighter; but once she talks to her for like, 1 minute she realizes Baraka has the exact kind of personality Zira can't stand.
Matakawa: She's not impressed with her at first, she just looks like a more scrawny version of Vitani, then she starts talking to her and realizes how much she takes after her and Scar in term of wits, Zira absolutely loves her.
Kisasian: The perfect child. Zira can see so much of Scar and herself in him, but he also has Sarafina's eyes, he's the perfect blend of the 3 lovers; a dark mane is promising to grow in, he's the perfect king, with Nguvu as his personal guard everything would be perfect.

Whew, had this done yesterday, but it took me A FULL DAY to write the desc. In my defense, I had school assignments and then other stuff that killed my motivation.
