Wanted to try and get some hyenas done, and decided to go with canon yeens so that I would only have to worry about the colors.

- Chungu is one of Janja's second in command and also his cousin. Chungu gets most of his bulk from his great-grandpa; like him, he's bigger than the average female and packs quite a lot of strenght, he could take on an average adult lion in a 1 on 1 fight, and is the one doing most of the defending when it comes to the small clan. Design wise I just adapted his proportions, fixed his jaw but kept the tufts on his cheeks, they're a nice little detail.

- Cheezi is the other second in command of the clan, he's Ed's grandson and got some of his looks/attitude. He's one of the smaller males of the clan, making him quite uselsess in big brawls, but compensates by attacking low and running fast. Ok so, design wise I love this guy, the overbite is cute, I like that he has a lighter nose and his bowlegged posture is adorable, he came out a bit small in the sketch ans I decided to go with it. I made his nose a bit less red and used the color for the lips as well, this is a trait I may use in other ocs down the line as well because I like it quite a bit.

- Madoa was supposed to be the next martiarch of her small clan, being the oldest child of the current leaders, but had always been smaller, and less confident than her younger sister, so she ended up loosing the mashindano for the succession to Jasiri. I had a lot of trouble with her, not for the general shapes, but for the colors.
I HATE Jasiri's clan, they've got good designs, but they have too many hues and are so purple… finding colors for Madoa was a pain. in general I decided to go with the rule of thumb of making them more brown than gray (which is a trait I'm leaving for the classic pridelands hyenas).

Whew, aside from finding colors for Madoa, I liked woring on this batch. I've been usign TLK refs as a break from drawing more complex stuff, since they are in a different style and I already have poses/proportions figured out.

I already added them to their family tree , so I'll go update that now.
