Description Well, it was bound to happen, after I used Lubar as part of my headcannons on leopards, I felt the need to include more of the Jungle emperor Leo cast, and here we have the 3 most recent emperors of their dynasty. Note: since in TLK humans are never mentioned, I'll try to take them out of the equation here as well, so many details will be changed; INCLUDING Kimba/Leo and his pride being vegetarians, lions are strictly carnivorous and can't live on grass, period, I'll change it so they may eat mostly bug and fish, but they do need to hunt every once in a while.

Before I go into details about the designs individually, let me talk about their story as a whole (because I really don't know much about Kimba aside from having seen the 1997 movie as a child, so I'll stay generic on the lore).
This pride is an ancient lion empire, their territory is almost on the opposite side of Africa compared to the pridelands and their neighboring prides, the jungle Kimba's pride resides in is a completely different one and is very far away from the Tree of life and Hakuna matata falls. The emperors are a long line of white lions, the rule is passed down from father to son every generation, and they rule on every animal in the surrounding territory; similarly to the Night pride, they don't often eat meat, just bugs and fish. However unlike the night pride, who only hunts once a month, they royals of the Jungle empire have a feast only once a year, where they are allowed to hunt and eat as they wish. This rule isn't strictly enforced on all carnivores, they can hunt outside of the feast, but they need to do so respectfully and outside of established safe zones. It's said that the Jungle empire was the one that inspired the "circle of life" ideology and spread it across Africa, even though it changed slightly with time to the one that is in place in modern times across kingdoms.
There is a neighboring kingdom called the highlands, where Marozi lions live, they're a bit at odds with the Jungle royals, so in an attempt to a truce the leader's niece was bethroted to Kimba.
There IS a tradition of skinning, tanning and preserving the hides of each emperor when they die, and a space in the den is reserved to keeping them. The process is done by monkeys expert in herbs (kind of like the mandrills of grass walls), who also help the pride as doctors.

Right, onto the characters.

- Panja was the emperor during the same time Ahadi was king, he was the one that got at odds with Lubar and his coalition of leopards (Lubar is around Mohatu's age) and drove them far, far away. Yes, I know in the series it was Kimba who did it, but to fit in the timeline and have it make sense, I changed it so Panja was the one to do it instead. He died relatively young, before Kimba was born, after being lured in a trap by a rogue that went on to be a nuisance to the kingdom for years to come, Claw. (Again, since I took humans out of the equation, I had Claw being the cause of Panja's death instead, plus this makes him a bit more relevant compared to the main series, where he's barely in it). Design wise I mixed most of his appearances together, in the first series he was a clone of Kimba with a beard, so I didn't look at that one too much, I used the iterations of him that were fully white, and the one from the 2009 movie a bit for the mane and nose. His pelt in the den is one with the highest amount of white, all of their ancestors had a bit of black or grey here and there, but Panja was one of the few with a full white coat.

- Kimba, he ruled during the same period as Mufasa and even a bit before (he had to start very young), he had the bad habit of sneaking in the pelt room to cuddle with his dad's hide, to feel close to him, something that his aunt had to constantly reprimand him for. His mother was also injured in the ambush that killed Panja and didn't live to see him grow up, his aunt was the only family Kimba had and helped him rule while he was still too young. That's all I'm going to say on him, because otherwise I'd have to TLK-ify the whole series, and it would NOT fit here *sweats*. Design wise I kept his big chest tuft and generally just adapted his original design to fit the style, I was unsure whether or not I should make his eyes blue like in the first series, or brown like the later ones, in the end I went with blue.

- Lune is the same age as Simba, I don't really have much to say on him since my knowledge of him is limited to what little I remember from the 1997 movie, wich is what I based his design mostly on, which is why he has his brown eyes. That mess of a mane is based partially on a panel of the manga that shows him grown up with a mate and 3 cubs, it was so poofy and unique I had to use it to differentiate him from his dad. The black in his mane was my own add-on, I had it planned even before I saw that panel of the manga, I wanted to show that sometimes the black fur would show more than just on the tail and ears. I really like his design.

As you may have noticed I moved the parallel up a generation, so that Simba and Kimba wouldn't be the same age, why? Well, for once Jungle emperor leo as a series is way older, so it only made sense for Kimba to be older.
Also, you may notice I used the OG names for almost everyone, except for Kimba, and that's just because I like that name better TBH, same for Panja, it fits him better than Caesar imo; but just to be safe I wrote down both names in the refs.
