The "little" bots carpeting the ground. BTW, they are larger than some buildings.
Sadly, I think the render is a mod rather than the game

Yeah, I see what you mean, there is some resemblance in the overall shape.Β

Eh, don't you mean critique's? lol
The mechanics of it look solid, but as you say could use a little more work - perhaps with some surface details on a few of the flat parts, and a bit more contrast to show some detail in the shadows. Unless of course you add a back & foreground in harsh sunlight with some smoke, dust or a foggy battlefield element, then the darker areas would be fine.

criticism (!) is welcome ^^
yeah, all agreed. it could use with some surface details.
and the battlefield scene is in progress, nearly done.

Well, while I DO happen to own a smal arsenal myself, I use it more for illustration purposes than anything else, lol
The Japanese mech is awesome, lol.

ah, so you own guns just to paint them?
heard of that... well if it helps...
yeah it sure is! <3

More to photograph them...mostly for my Mad World illustrated novel project. It doubles for home defense too, but I'm not all that concerned about that. Actually I own more melee weapons than firearms...more exotic combat knives and swords, etc. than I can count, lol. Mostly they just decorate my studio and get photographed for an image on occasion...oh, and occasionally I have to kill a zombie possum....West Virgina has a lot of those [link]

ah yeah, knifes and blades are cool... i don't own much, but there are some really pretty ones!
you still need a klingon bathlet!
you kill those with swords??? O_o

LOL, no I shoot those with my assault rifle when they attack, lol. No seriously, I'm just kidding. I don't even hunt. Just target shooting...and heavily armed rednecks or zombies if some type of "end of the world" scenario ever occurs, LOL.

I like the design. There is enough detail right now to get a good feel of the robot and I like that youput the soldier in for scale. Only the legs are noot really finnished enough to really get a good idea of their form. Would be nice to see it refined and coloured. Nice work

greensandsguy In reply to storm-bunny [2013-01-09 12:47:40 +0000 UTC]
thanks! and yeah, i agree with the legs, the function is not really readable...

well, yeah... it is one. zoom in and you see how roughly it is done. there is still room for way more details, as i saw on way better artists mech designs...

Simple - effective - brilliant
Only gripe - no details like symbols or marking - and a lack of colour.
Aside that - superb!!
