ahh! thanks. im glad you made the language comment. Im a big believer in the fact that each artist creates his or her visual language and as we keep creating we keep adding depth and layers and nuance to that language!

the diagram came from a book that i purchased recently at an antique store-- its a psychology text book published in 1930. It was first owned by helen anderson. i got it for a whole dollar plus tax.

I wish we had a cool flea market around here so I could find old books like that. I've been craving them for years.
I should search around antique stores or something. Bah.
Very nice, as usual.

Excellent! Now that I have those plans my world domination project is entering it's final stages! Now I can mount the looking machine to my -quote- DEATH STAR -unquote-!!! When you hear the sirens, be sure to remember to come and apply for the head (evil) scientist position. Meanwhile, have a .

I am terribly sorry, but although there are actually a few overlord (both evil and plain nasty) positions available, the administration strictly prohibits the use of capes, cloaks or gowns, in order to demonstrate its evilness depraving us of our coolness. shucks
Anyway, your work is great -- thanks for pushing me on sprees of spontaneous commenting silliness

im glad that we here at gregoriousoneland can be of assistance. however im not looking for an evil scientist position, maybe if you have some sort of evil overlord position available i might consider-- as long as it has good benefits and i get to wear a cape.

Fantastic! I was going to ask about the masking tape, but read the comments and saw someone beat me to it. I'm so jealous of your old book finds - here on the gulf coast, it's hard to find good vintage stuff that's not, well, moldy from dampness.

that's one of the first things i thought of when i was watching the scenes of the hurricane damage and flooding. all those wonderful old bits of ephemera that have been lost. Then part of me thinks that in a couple of years when things have dried out a bit maybe there will be all kinds of interesting finds.

i'm actually in houston, but even without hurricane-specific damage, the high humidity tends to cause books and paper stuff to mold over time. for instance, a few weeks ago i stumbled across some good finds at a church yard sale, but the grammar text from roughly 50 years ago has some pretty severe mold damage in places and that great accompanying smell. i just need to take a trip to the dryer north to go hunting and gathering!

yes I guess the weather down there in general would lend itself to mold growth either way. luckily we have a good supply of old interesting things up north for you!
