Description
No sophisticated story here, just an experiment of dark outlines, muted colours as well as toying with the shape and pose of a person lying down. Working on finding a suitable set of brushes in Krita.[Krita , with some GIMP]

Wow, this is really beautiful! This is a powerful, vibrant image. Obviously, she's gorgeous - I like the highlights in her hair, on her shoulder, and on the rest of her body. The bright metal in her belt also adds impact on the left side and, with the other highlights, creates some nice contrast. My eye is drawn all around the image, so it is well balanced. She's very feminine. I like her expression and her oversized eyes. I also like how the grayish green repeats all over the image - in the water, in her tank top, reflected green light on her skin, and in her eyes. Pretty cool. I like it a lot.

The character is from my imagination but some of the pose was checked against reference to make sure anatomy was okay.

Heh, it's clearly not very deep water, no. I should maybe add some dry patches here and there to make this clearer.

in which case the ripples should emanate more from where her body contacts the surface of the water, crossing each other and being somewhat chaotic. If she's being fairly still, so should the surface of the water instead of looking like the surface of a lake (where wind and tide make perpetual and even waves).

All good points. Since this image was one of those that organically grew rather than starting out with a definite plan, the various elements like the water didn't actually stablize until rather late. Initially I had her on some sort of bed (where the direction of sheet folds/waves make more sense).
