Snuff I have a question for you:
Which program did you use to make these?
Whenever I try and make 50X50 icons in photoshop and use the pencil tool (1px) the pixels never look as crisp as yours ad turn our larger for some reason.

you need to turn it into the pencil tool since your using the brush tool

Hmm, it shouldn't do that... (I also use photoshop, and I do enjoy doing pixel art.) You're sure you have the pencil tool selected? And no anti-aliasing options selected? Or is it more that your pixel lines have extra pixels in them, like when you curve and such? If that's the case, unfortunately you've just got to manually erase the extra pixels. :P

x3 maybe your just not pixeling right, since pixelart is diffrent than just drawing. To get the thinnest line you have to make sure they look like this

these are lovely ^^ I have a question, since they're so small I can't really tell. Do you do a double lining of the icons? Is that where you get the white from? I notice there's a darker outline too

I draw a white outline around the characters yes and add some shading
