O.M.G. I could just upload the part that's glowy... although... now that I look at it, it doesn't seem the same as yours... like... I don't think mine looks like it's glowing... then again, everyone is their own worst critic so maybe I'm being too harsh(I hope.)

Hi!

Err, this is kinda embarrassing to ask, but I am, like, using all your tutorials at once and now I've got an almost finished picture but I need some blue in the background, I wondered if you'd mind I use your 'glow on trees' method and if I upload it on DA I give you full credit for that?

This is extremely helpful. I have a hard time making orbs/other miscellaneous glowing things, so this'll be great help to me. ^^ I really like that it isn't at all specified to a certain program, and it's nice and simple!

Thanks for sharing!

That tutorial is fantastic. You're about the only one who points out only blurring vs. solid + blurrig contrast :heat:
I think this will be a great help for a lot of people.

ok so if I understand......well.... blur is a tool from photoshop? is it like the opacity? how can we blur?
sorry for all the question, I'm like a newbie for digital drawing XD
But thanks for making this tutorial, i've always loved glowing things! when I'll know how to do glowing things i'll do many drawing with glowing stuff!!!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

griffsnuff In reply to Namchu [2011-04-29 07:57:49 +0000 UTC]

you dont use blur at all, you use a brush who has a soft quality. Almost all artprograms has a soft and hard brush in it ^^

How come?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

XxTheBlackUnicornxX In reply to griffsnuff [2011-04-29 11:08:00 +0000 UTC]

i, just felt it didnt teach you how to really make them, you mainly talked about contrast for glowing. It was a great Tutorial i guess i was just expecting you to kinda tell us when we blurred and when we didnt. You did tell us in a way but not in great detail like the others tutorials you have done in the past.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

griffsnuff In reply to XxTheBlackUnicornxX [2011-04-29 11:24:31 +0000 UTC]

Its all up to you were you use a more blurred version and not. I dont see any reason why i have to spoon feed things like that.

XxTheBlackUnicornxX In reply to griffsnuff [2011-04-30 14:51:17 +0000 UTC]
