I kinda did this already. . .but I didn't. See, I've made a few species but two I haven't put on dA either totally love or hate each other. But this does help! Thank you for making this.

Thank you, Griffsnuff! I was so frustrated with seeing so many designs that I loved but never having the creativity to come up with one of my own - I'm trying to come up with a fursona, but every time I draw something it just ends up looking like someone else's charrie I love. :/

i'm not really that good at designing, i love your kind of designs so after reading this i am determind to create something that is cool like yours, but at the same time not copying any one elses ideas

I ran into a similar issue with an original character I created once, he looked a little like a character a good friend of mine made. My friend was not happy bout it at first, but over time, my character grew into his own looks and personality.
Sometimes original ideas start off as somewhat of a ripoff, then become its own original that can be respected.

Draw lots of crazy versions and dont think about making it look good, after making lots try to improve the ones you have made by adding/removing things you like/dislike on them :3

theis are good rules to follow, but im always changing my charicter and its names,so i never no what im gonna draw next. its a problem for me when i want to draw my charicter, but dont have any inspiration to do so, i will just come up with another disine(how ever u spell that -.-*) and just change my fursona....

So I made up a character in seventh grade, and I was thinking about finally putting her on here, but now I just realized that another person on dA has a character that looks a lot like my character. I all ready asked her if it's all right for me to put up my character and change a lot to her appearance, but is there any more that I can do?
