Description
From Mariam Petrosyan's "The House, In Which" (published as "The Gray House" in English).Blind, mourning the loss of Elk - a person who was part father and part God, and perhaps the only one from whom he could trustingly accept a measure of kindness or guidance. I don't know if we really see him openly mourn in the book - he mostly retains his composure, and is very inward - but I imagine that, privately and out of sight of others, he sometimes did. He might be part House, part Forest now, but he was a kid once.
graphite sketch, black and red ink with brush pen, cartridge paper.
