Comments and faves welcome, thanks for viewing!Photoshop CS2, a lot of hours when it comes down to it.
Edit: Have done about 2 major overhauls on this project. It's one of those stubborn pieces. I like it a lot now though, at least more than I did when it first came out.

Looking back I performed too many edits on this piece and should have left it the way it is. Lesson learned, be patient with your art and don't fiddle with it. Move onto something else, do the work and only look back every once in a while.

woo this has such a cosmic feel to it! it give the feeling of - ' A Phoenix is born out of the chaos' i really like the colors is make it feel so vivid

No I used a mouse. My hands are too big to effectively use a tablet. All that happens is I press too hard and accidentally click all the time or my palm touched the tablet making the mouse randomly jerk across the screen.

I like it however I feel not enough negative space (no pun intended) I feel there are too many stars but I love the cosmic gas cloud thing =]
