For IOW#5- "Crossing the Marshes" on ConceptArt.org. I was going for an illustrative look, with the thought that it might be a scene from an imaginary kids or young adult fantasy book.

So far it looks like I completely ate it on this entry- dead last! Oh well, at least I learned from it!

The backstory in my head behind this image- the protagonist depicted is the reluctant assistant to a witch who specializes in brewing potions. She is sent on a series of strange adventures in a surreal fantasy realm to get ingredients for a potion which can cure the illness of a girl who has bullied her for years. Along the way, the main character gains the self-confidence needed to disarm the bully.
