Description
The second team arrived shortly after Shepard's team on the York.
While the survivors of the facility were accommodated, the members of the rescue quickly changed clothes before they went to the debriefing.
The second team reported that they had found at the source of the emergency signal just a crashed small ship.
The pilot, a batarian hadn’t survived the impact. The signal was activated automatically after the crash.
The investigation of the crash site showed that it was not an accident, but rather the ship was shot down.
In the storage room there was only a sealed capsule, which was less than the meter tall.
Cause it wasn’t possible to open the capsule on site without possibly damaging the contents they salvaged and brought it aboard the York.
Shepard wanted the technicians to open the object, check the contents and then report their results.

Already during the meeting Kayla noticed how exhausted she was by the fighting.
Although she had a lot of physical training in the past few months, she clearly neglected her biotic training what now took its toll.
After the meeting Kayla went to her cabin, took a quick shower and gobbled an energy bar before she fell drained into bed.

It was only hours later, she woke up by the door signal. Samara stood with a quizzical look at the door.
A glance at the clock told the reason. Kayla wanted to meet Samara for dinner in the officers' mess and she had overslept.
Because Samara had already noticed Shepard’s fatigue at the briefing, she was not surprised.
She waits a short while Shepard was changing clothes.
As they left the cabin they met an officer of the technical department of the ship who wanted to the captain.
He held a small box in his hand, which Shepard seemed to known for an unknown reason.
The technician reported that this object was inside the capsule, which was recovered from the planet.
The engineer had the device examined, it was a kind of data storage. A large amount of data couldn’t be accessed.
They didn’t know whether these data packets were destroyed or deliberately only parts in this unit.
Other data could be sighted easily. Because some parts of it were related to the Captain,
the technician believed that Shepard should take a look at it. The technician went back to his station after passed the box to Shepard.
Kayla and Samara went back to the cabin. The Captain put the box on the small table and activated it.
Shortly thereafter, the two saw a projection of Shepard, who was accompanied by a recording of Liara's voice.
Kayla had the day, which was more than eight months ago, almost forgotten when Liara made this recording.
The batarian was an agent of the Shadow Broker, who wanted to bring one of the Liara’s records of the galaxy to a certain world
to warn future generation against the Reapers.

Suddenly Kayla overcame again the doubts about this rescue operation.
Been traveling for months and have not found any single ship of the last battle around the Earth.
Samara tried to cheer up Shepard, but had only moderate success.
They had saved a few engineers and scientists, but that was not the feeling of success that Kayla needed now.
