Description
A concept for Fithri (she/they/it), the main tellurian character in a novel I'm trying to write! Sheβs a medic that winds up traveling with Ventro and Space when a mission of theirs goes wrong.
This illustration is wholly mine, but it comes after I commissioned some sketches from Beefstatic to help me make some design decisions for the tellurian concept. ^_^ They helped a ton!
Fithri is a determined soul who isn't one to back down from a challenge. She is willing to take personal risks for even the chance of helping someone, even when she's afraid and even when the odds aren't in her favor.
That said, she isn't reckless, and she's clever; so long as there is time to plan, she does everything in her power to stack the odds in her favor.
Personal info:
- Skills: Emergency and disaster medicine, xenobiology, hunting (bugs and small animals).
- Hobbies: Hunting, singing, and gardening.
- Design notes: Fithri stands at roughly 1.3 feet tall when fully upright, discounting its ears.
Physiology:
- Fithri's species has no eyes and no sight; they rely on echolocation, a keen sense of smell, whiskers, & antennae.
- In addition to the normal mundane function, Fithri's whiskers can sense magic in their surroundings.
- Fithri's antennae (the glowing structures at the tips of its ears) have a more precise magic sense, enough to pick up changes in the magic field caused by even non-magical creatures.
- Fithri stands in an upright bipedal position. In this image, Fithri is crouching.
