Description
Hayao Miyazaki - Kiki's Delivery Service was my first introduction to the genius that is Miyazaki.Glen Keane - Glen is the man when it comes to character animation. He inspired me to not only draw, but to draw messily.
Traditional Disney Animation - I grew up and thrived on Disney animated movies. I used to race to my local crappy K-Mart when the VHS on the first day of release to get a glimpse of the next movie. The days before the internet. Good times, good times.
Pixar - A company that once struggled to stay on its feet and still continues to be the most creative and inventive studio in the business.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - When all my fellow girl pals were playing house and sipping pretend tea, I was leaping out of trees with home-made nun-chucks.
Pete De Se've - Well known for his cover illustrations for The New Yorker, Peter was also a character designer for Disney, Pixar and Blue Sky studios. I love his sketchy style and watercolor technique.
Don Bluth - I adore this man. His gritty and highly detailed animation style were everywhere in 80's and early 90's. The Secret of Nimh is still of my favorite movies.
Chris Sanders - The man is a god. No…. he is god.
Batman the Animated Series - One of the reasons why I got into Batman as a kid. Some of Bruce Tim's best work, hands down.
Slayers - My first real introduction to the anime genre outside of the botched American versions of Sailor Moon and Dragonball Z. Still one of the best character driven anime series to date.
Balto - Triggered the my art bug when I watched this on VHS in middle school. I owe a lot to that awesome low-budget animated movie.
Tracy Butler - There are no words for how unbelievably awesome her work is. Go read her web comic "Lackadaisy Speakeasy " and drink in her awesomeness.
Avatar the Last Airbender - Engaging story, fantastic characters and great writing. What's not to love?
Karl Kerschl - The Abominable Charles Christopher - One of the best Web Comics on the net.
Genndy Tartakovsky - Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff girls and Samurai Jack. I can't get enough.
Michel Gagne - Had the great fortune to not only meet this man, but to play hostess and hang out with this guy when he spoke at my college. His unique style and storytelling are amazing and he's worked with multitude of projects as an animator, illustrator and character designer.

Great list full of great inspirations! Wasn't this thing fun to do? I spent way too long on mine.
In addition to some of the influences we share in common, you added a couple that I ran out of room to put on mine, like Chris Sanders (definitely a god) and Glen Keane.

This took me awhile as well. It's hard to pick just a few influences since I have so many. Man, it's been sooooo loooong since I've updated. At the very least, I'll put up some commission stuff until I make up my mind on what to post here.
