Description
I was drawing up a lil mermaid girl and one of my dad's friends stopped and looked at her and told me she'd pay double what I charge if I complete it with certain colors. The point of this drawing was to be a mermaid. Not Disney, not anime, just a cartoon/comic-ish mermaid.
Literally spent days on the line art alone -_-; tonight I started coloring. Maybe half done? I still have to shade/highlight, but I'm not 100% set on this color scheme.
Edit (07-04-2010): This is what I'll say is "complete" until the customer tells me what she wants changed/altered. Hope she likes it....

The pose is nice, and I really like the belt detail she has going. The coloring looks great, I like the effect you used on the fin to just add some texture to it. The water looks fantastic, I like the bars of light to add more depth into it
One thing that looks off to me is the hair. It looks a bit stiff for being under water.

I know... hair is my ultimate weakness... I never get it to look soft and flowy.
always chunky like kid anime.
