Description
Well, now that I finished that Heisler concept I though that it was about time I finished the colored version of my Mini Max. Took me long enough didn't it?"Clyde" is shown painted/unlettered because I don't know what number he will have according to the Big Thunder Mt. RR & Mining Co.'s roster. At least not yet. I need to sit down and actualy write it out.
Anyherr... I hope you all like it and hopefully some day soon we'll get to see him "In The Flesh".

Much Obliged! The paint scheme was inspired by the Roaring Camp & Big Trees Railroad's "Dixiana". An old Class B, 2-Truck Shay they have that's beautifully preserved in California.

Well, I'd watch that item like a hawk. When I still had a job with reliable income I used to be quite the E-bayer.
If possible, wait till like the last 30 seconds or less to make your bid. Basically leaving little or no time for another bidder to out bid you. I won a number of items with that stragity. I almost won an Fn3 scale 2-6-0, but I put my bid in too soon and was out bid.

Very nice...but I do see one little tidbit that can really show itself...wheres the safety valve XD
but otherwise a very impressive little locomotive, always loved climaxes ^^

Love the outside steam pipe arangment with the whistle on it! (With inside-the-cab-dome for the icing.) One wonders, though... could the whistle only be blown while the loco is in motion?

I dunno.
The whole thing is based on an old BVM kit. I'm hoping they'll bring it back, would would make building the model a whole lot easier than scratch building it.

What do you mean? Using ebay to find a Donor model? (which is what I now have) or the BVM kit?

Well, I was thinking of the BVM kit, actually. ^^

Chances are that all the Mini Max BVM kits have very happy owners. I don't belive a whole lot were made. Probably due to Bachmann only producing the model for a few years.

Well of course! I did get the model with the intend on making an On30 model. Though the conversion kit would simplify things.

It's based off of the one used on the Roaring Camp & Big Trees RR. The idea originated with the On30 Shay I plan on making and I wanted to use the RC&BT's scheme for it, though with different lettering. So I figured I'd apply it to the other BTMt. RR geared locos to.

I have in the past, the Puffing Billy Rwy.'s Na class locos. Haven't drawn one recently though.
But I still need to draw the shay that goes with my Mini Max and Heisler. I'll probably work on that first.

No I haven't posted them, mainly because I lost them some time ago.
I planned on drawing some soon to see how'd they look as "Wolf Creek & Flagstone" Locomotives. (painted black w/ white lettering)
