Using my recent poll as a guage, I know that at least some people were interested in seeing some more Scymanterian stuff.

Now I love conceptualizing, though actually going and darkening the lines and making look pretty my concepts is something I rarely do. So usually concept art usually is never seen by anyone but me.

This is a work in progress, I'm still trying to create a theme to Scymanterian architecture. I have a few key rules I'm trying to follow, first is:

green energy. Being the efficient and advanced society they are, Scymanterians have already had much of there energy needs converted to green-based energy. You'll notice that every building has solar panels or wind turbines on them, they're artistically curved and worked into the architecture of the building so they they don't stick out and look ugly. Essentially cities are self-perpetuating, every building generates it's own energy, every building's energy store is tapped into an underground network with all other buildings in the city. If one building demands more energy then it's own panels produce, an automated signal is sent to the network to divert extra energy to that building from other buildings which aren't using %100 of their power. All the power distribution is handled automatically and the grid is constantly reconfiguring.

Second is style: This is what I'm trying to come up with, I'm going for something that looks interesting but isn't too complex, which many of these buildings are unfortunately. I want something that shows them being advanced and efficient, I kinda have a iMac picture in mind.. that simple white and detail-less look: [link] So far the only thing in these concepts is the bubble-looking buildings at the base of the sky-scraper on the left.
