Hiccup and Astrid all ready to fight in their armor! Yeeeeahh!

I've been watching a lot of Game of Thrones lately, as I've said before, so their armor is kinda inspired from that, mostly because it looks surprisingly historically "accurate" (like it looks bomb) so yeah. Astrid grows out of her armor-that-isn't-really-armor and wears more of the Viking traditional armor, such as the chainmail. Vikings wore a lot of mail. They were known for it. So she has that under her jerkin and wool tunic, but I like her pauldrons the best because they're simply just the cooliest. I had to give her some spikes, duh. But yeah, she's my favorite. She has more mobility to her armor than Hiccup because she is the quicker of the two.

Hiccup's armor doesn't really look Viking-ish because he made his armor between England and Ireland, mostly under an English lord who was gearing for battle so he had a more variety of designs to choose from, but he still kept to his traditional teachings, I suppose. His gorget is English (though invented long after his time, but, hey. NBD) but he still wears mail and wool and leather. His vest actually has little plates sewn into it for extra armor because he's one smart kid. So yeah, he can buckle his vest if he wants. Pretty coooool. And yes, I know he is left handed but maybe he's just holding it in his right because he's already holding one of Astrid's knives or something. lol. He has the scabbard on his right hip. yeeer.

Anyway. I'll be hopefully uploading more sometime soon, but I also have to get a move on with HOS (my fic) because I've been getting messaaageeeees...
