Just having fun with this one. The chain/cord part was a pain to do. At first, it was going to be regular links of chain, but I believe I’d still be sketching if I went with that idea. So in came the not-so-simple cord. I had to do the highlights with a white gel pen. It still didn’t come out quite the way I planned, but the image as a whole makes up for it, I guess. I placed this in “Traditional Art” because I spent more time on the main picture, more than the time spent in Photoshop to give it a quick background.Anyhoot, it’s not necessarily Jekyll and Hyde themselves. Just the idea of spilt personalities. But if you want to call them Jekyll and Hyde, then I don’t mind at all. ^.^

Prismacolor Pencils - Cool grey, black, and white
Pentel Gel Roller (highlights on the cord)
Photoshop 5.5 (for a very quick background)

Wow, you're quite deserving of that DD. I like how they are intertwined. I confess that I have yet to actually read the story, but the dualism you portray seems to capture exactly what I understand about the book. Repressed people have a monster just waiting to leap out. I can see how the 'Jekyll' side is losing his struggle to escape the reach of 'Hyde.' This piece is creepy and beautiful at the same time. Most of us have our own 'Hyde' that we struggle with. There is the way that we should act, and there is the way that we want to act. I'm very, very impressed with what you've done. Nice job!

This has been designed really nicely and the composition works really well! You get a feeling of the tension between the two...very nice...

Pure brilliance. I've always adored the concept of split personalities, having completely different people existing in the same body.
I love how the Jekyll character gives a visual of panic, fear, purity and concern, garbed in what appears to be a doctor's uniform, suggesting care for others.
The Hyde character on the other hand is the former pulled inside out. He oozes insanity, malevolence, sadism and demented glee, dressed in a quite fitting straightjacket, layering onto the fact that the monster is warped and dangerous.
The artwork is exquisite and I think it's the greatest representation of Jekyll and Hyde I've ever seen. Kudos.

Wicked~! I like the chord... don't get frustrated... but here's a tip... when you know you're getting frustrated it could be one of two things. You're really screwing it up and you know it or it's really hard but you're doing a really good job!
