A self-portrait. Of course.My show, Skinhouse, opens in Melbourne tonight. I have some of the blackest bruises on my knees brought on by rehearsals. Just thought I'd let you all admire them. Our whole company is also pretty darn sick which is good fun. Other than that, the show is looking fantastic! We are very, very happy with it.
Hope you're all going well. Sorry I've been so quiet lately. Skinhouse has been a difficult baby.

Well done but I just think you could have been a bit more creative. It is fine to take inspiration from someone's image but I think to re-create something to this extent is a bit dull. Looking at your gallery it looks like you are doing some really exciting things with creative angles and shots so I know you have no shortage of ideas. Go and make new things!

You do have such lovely skin. Those bruises are remarkably dark, though subtle in this photo. I barely noticed them. At first I thought they may have just been shadows. Beautiful lighting and positioning. You and your work are, as always, stunning.
Side-note: are those down sheets? They look extremely plush and silky

Haha, I'm not sure what the sheets are. But they are very, very nice. My boyfriend brought them. I must say, he's better at that stuff than me. I love the things that get comments here!

Its still going but its going incredibly well! I'll post some links to reviews soon. They have been over-whelmingly positive. We are very, very happy with it. I just got back from performing. We have another show tomorrow and then that is our first week done. Then we get two days off and then another week. It is very exhausting but fantastic to be working on a show we're so proud of. Thanks for asking!

I love the lighting and the fact that this is black and white. I also like the way you positioned your legs, I'm not sure why, but I like it. Those bruises look a bit painful. I hope you are doing well. Good luck with Skinhouse!

Thank you! They are recovering nicely. I only have to do the painful bit of the show once a night now that we've opened. In rehearsal I could do it 20 times a day.

The lighting in this is gorgeous! Black and white was a great choice. It highlights the shadows and crinkles of the sheets, which looks fantastic. Better looking still is your skin tone - gorgeous and creamy looking here, which contrasts starkly with the grey smudges of the bruises.

love the shot. good choice with black and white. the window light makes it feel very soft and delicate
i get bruises all over my legs all the time. comes with the territory i suppose. usually im too focused on what im doing to notice that i have banged my leg up against something or i hit the floor a bit too hard 
hope the show goes well! make sure to get some rest once its all done

Thanks miss. I used to get them all the time when I was working as a tech. These days, I'm mostly a director and playwright so I sit and type or I stand and watch. Much less bruisy.
