Description
Part three in my clumsily titled series: 'My room has pretty lighting and my friends have pretty faces and I thought I should put them together and yeah'. Except this one is a self-portrait.It is shot with my wide-angle lense, hence the RIDICULOUSLY long foot, which entertained me greatly. But I do enjoy the shoulder-blades here.

Thank you. I do love Alexander's edit but I think the expression did nail it here. I'm glad you picked up on the playfulness. I think that is really apparent in this one. I enjoy that.

I really like the facial expression - it's almost a look of hurt. I think I would have preferred it a little more if you or the camera was a little more at a diagonal to you, then you were a little more in the centre - but the look makes it all anyway.

I think you're right there! There is something a little odd about the angle. But yes, this was my favourite from the shoot purely because of the expression. I liked it so much that I posted it despite the ridiculous looking foot.

It is really a good expression. Hair helps too. As for my suggestion. It's one of the few ways I've seen of getting long limbs out of the distortion zone, to have the body angled off toward the rear corners. I fully understand the ordeal of having trouble in paradise.

Broken tripod is making angles and framing tricky at the moment. That's part of the reason that I've only show in my room all year: my camera is resting on my washing basket for this shot. I'm not sure when I'm going to get a chance to get it fixed.

And my tripod is so heavy I can't be bothered to use it. I feel ashamed =<

Oh dear! Self-portraits have always been such a crucial part of my work so I'm really missing it.

I haven't felt vicious enough to torture people with self portraits of me so it's not that bad in my case, but all the long expsoures and IR pictures I want to take are suffering as a result. Like, as in not existing. >__>

If my Thursday mornings were as lovely as this, I would be a very happy woman indeed. I have to wonder at times if you choose your homes based on its merit in your art. Does it have good lighting, will the structures make for good background etc. As always, you and your work are more lovely than any bard could hope to sing of. I hope that you are doing well. At some point, I would love to do some work with you. Just to have some of my words associated with your lovely photos, or to even assist you with your own projects would be exquisite.

I do need light to be happy so natural light is a big part of house hunting. This is the nicest bedroom I've ever had. I've never had such a big room before and I love it.

The shoulder-blades would definitely be the stand-out feature here, were it not for the crazy foot stealing the show. Good choice for black and white, the tones are luscious
