Description
Re-posted with a few minor changes.John in Adelaide. Under a street light. Middle of the night.
I am a horrid person. On the second to last night of our stay, one my actors developed an eye infection. I took him to 24 hour chemist and on the way back, stopped under a street light and asked if I could photograph him putting in his eyedrops. Yes, I exploited my actor's eye infection. In my defence, the next day I did take him to the doctors.
And he is still hot, even with this going on. The girls in the audience on the last night still went all fangirl over him, with his eye almost bruised shut.
John Shearman: beautiful, gentle man, gorgeous actor and very obliging when it comes to my photography addiction. Thank you!

I love the left hand shot, and am not convinced on the composition at all. I think the amount of face at the right hand side distracts the eye a little.
I would make people pose under lights if they had lovely infections that distorted their faces too

Haha, cheers. Glad you appreciate the importance of documenting distortion.

I enjoy documenting all things that no amount of make up could cover.

This is lovely! Very emotive and pretty. The two photos though, the background is not true black like the 'backdrop' you've put them on and on my screen I can see that they're different shades which is a little confusing. But apart from that, I love how you've made them a little collage, it sort of builds strength to the picture.

Drat! I wondered if my computer screen was telling me the truth. It was perfect on my computer. I just did some changes. Can you tell me if it is better now?

Sometimes we are most lovable when we feel vulnerable. I see compassion here - not exploitation.

Thanks Michael. I do care a hell of a lot about my actors and they know it. They work so hard for me and I see it as my job to love them back.
