Description
Ok then here is a tutorial for Mandelbulb 3D on how to make the "Tuber" pieces I've been doing lately. Hope you have fun and let me know if you have any trouble. Click the download link on the right to download the tutorial! It's a zipped html file so unzip it, click on the html file and have some fun!The version linked to below is a new version. The version the tut was written with is no longer available as far as I know. So some of the interface will be slightly different. Note me if you have trouble with it.
You can get Mandelbulb 3D by following this link!www.fractalforums.com/mandelbu…

Thanks. Basically you select formulas from a list and then adjust or tweak the variables for the formulas, as well as zooming and rotating to get an interesting view. The basics are covered in the tutorial.

Thanks you, I understood the value of certain parameters not very clear to me before, especially for rendering !
Note that a new version of mandelbulb is available and allows changing the settings on the fly in navigation mode .
Regards, Jules.

Helped is an understatement. Your tutes and one by Fiery Fire are the only ones out there that really explain how to use M3D and enable people with less free time for endless trial-and-error tweaking and scouring Fractal Forums for informative tidbits to get a grasp on what all the things do and how it fits together. I REALLY appreciate it very much! Thank you!

Funny, while I was poking through your gallery, I was thinking to myself, I better send this person a personal email asking how they get the particular designs you are getting, considering the millions of options/choices Mandelbulb gives you to begin your design. I didn't think I was going to accidentally trip upon the right combination of things to get what you get. Thanks for the tutorials. I will be following them closely, and your works, as well. Any new tips you have, pass them along. Awesome, just awesome.

Oh, thank you very much! Your tutorials are really helpful. But I'm trying to find out how to get my own "fuzzybox", and the way I do this is by trying all the different combinations of params, formulas, and addons, and by tweaking everything else. I may not get a fuzzybox, but I do get some interesting shapes, along with a lot of staring into that sun of a blank canvas. Sometimes blue sky, sometimes bright sun. Why is that? Is there actually a form there? I'm going to try a deep zoom out. Probably just get blue sky. Peace. kc.
