Description
12+ Hours of work. (Includes creating the textures, clouds etc). Final version is actually 6000x4000.Enjoy.
Created with Max and Photoshop, used around 17 different layers in all.
Update 12/05/04 :
Replaced with higher resolution lower filesize and different aspect version.

From the thumb it didnt look to well but it should be known that no one should ever judge a piece by the thumb, unless the thumb is better........... anyways, 12 hours is a good amount of time, a good chunk, so i'll it bcuz it also looks sweet. Love space work. etc. Good work bro.

2 gripes i have with it
1: the planets on the bottom left are overlapping "weird". it almost looks as though the planet is apart of the bigger one. id either space it out, or make it smaller and move it away, since depth in space is kidna hard to pull off sometimes.
2: the asteroids look a little clustered. seems like theyre in a line going in one direction. i suggest spacing them out, and "spinning" a few so they look like theyre in constant motion and adding smaller bits and pieces outside their "line"

the materials on the renders are great. And the lighting/airbrushing is greta also. For 17 layers..you did a veyr fine job...this is one of the best space images I've seen in quite a while...that isn't abstract.
