Description
Pilot pens and blue wash on 5"x8" paper.
Cause and effect - poem by HamidM
At night, in my dream, in depths of black sea
A huge angler fish came preaching to me.
With a weird rolling accent, and a more bizarre slur
It constantly waved, its luminous lure.
Its voice loud and blaring, its words made no sense
The few I recall, were twisted and tense...
"What brought you all here, was not evolution.
Nor are you from mixings of random solutions.
You’re effect from the cause, the master, the able.
But you were exiled, when Cane fed on Abel.
And now you are cursed, to feed and decay.
While time leads to death, let food pave the way.
So bring all your loved ones, and wake all the sleep,
For the radiant lord, is risen from deep.
He’s here to free, and deliver your soul.
Your body, donate it, mere vessel, not goal!
So run from all evil, come bask in his might,
Come closer my child.
and gaze in his light… “
A shock woke me up. I jumped to my feet,
And heard angler-fish’s shouts from the street!
I stepped out that midnight, and listened with care
It was no monster fish, no reason for scare!
Thank god just an H-1 with his mouth set on high
On his late-nightly calls,
to H-4 in Mumbai.
