I've never even thought about this kind of thing, so your tutorial was DEFINITELY an eye-opener. Thanks for uploading this!

As someone working in a frame shop - YES!! Wonderful tips here, wish more printers/buyers could see these tips or were familiar with them! You definitely hit on a lot of the problems we sometimes run into.

LOL! I just KNOW I forgot some stuff and one of these days I'll be working on something and I'll think "oh! darn it! I should have mentioned that too!!"
Glad you liked it!

This is great! Makes a lot of sense - I am sure a lot of people don't even consider some of this when creating a piece of art.

I think the average person, or even artist, doesn't realize that things like this make a difference at all! They've never had to deal with it - so how would they? Hopefully this tut will help a few people out! (and save a framer some agony later! )

Yeah but I have been saying I would do an HDR tut for about 4 months now. HAHA! I just scanned over real fast and it all looked great to me. I plan to give it more of a reading and attention when I make it home.

Well, I can be a procrastinator too, but now and again I get a bug to get something done and I just go all in. Kind of psycho that way. I had intended to do it over the span of a week or something - but once I got going I just didn't want to quit. I had to though - by about 2:30 a.m. I was starting to worry that I was going to wake up in a few hours with a key board imprinted on my forehead!

Hahaha....go hard or go home huh! Looks really good my friend and easy to understand from what I have seen so far. I have pretty much decided I cant do a tutorial on HDR. Honestly....my process is far far to detailed and it is constantly adapting and changing from shot to shot. I could give a shot for the walk through and the process would work for that shot....but then you try the same process on your own shot and it looks like crap.

Yeah, for some things I guess! LOL!! If I WANT to do something - get out of my way - if I'm not really into it ..... MEH!!
I can see what you mean about it being hard to do an HDR - As you know I've been playing with it and asking a few different people how they do it and there are as many techniques as there are people. I really am starting to think that you have to just figure out your own way and go for it. I had some success last night though - a bit better results - so hopefully I'm on my way to finding my own technique.
However, I would pay good money to have you do a talking tutorial on You Tube - because I just listened to your other video, and I think I could listen to you talk all day! :swoon:

I did a few tutorials when I first stared just so I could find out faster what each thing was for and what it would do. Then I struck out on my own. I uploaded some real turds at first to. HAHAHA! Why mam....if you werent spoken for....yadadada....wouldnt that ake a better tutorial than me talking about Photomatix? Well if I DID talk about Photomatix I would be using the word "slider" a lot soooo....
